Born in 1976 and raised next to the Cantabrian Sea in the city of Donostia-San Sebastián (Basque Country, Spain) as a child I developed a strong love for nature while playing in my grandparents country house on weekends. In 1986 for my 10th birthday my parents gave me a Spectrum 48k computer and spent hours and hours in my bedroom trying to learn programming by myself.
In my teenage years I immersed myself in skateboarding and graffiti which led me to travel to places like California, France, England, Holland… In 1994, due to my passion for creativity and as a pure act of rebellion, I decided to start Arts College in Bilbao where I built a great passion for avant-garde practices. During those years I taught myself how to web design and published my first website in 1998. In 2000 thanks to a scholarship I studied Visual Communication in Berlin where I developed a love for DJing, video-art and illustration.
Later on from 2003 to 2007 I lived and breathed in Arteleku – a now defunct international art center in my hometown- a life time period in which I was part of multiple culture, sociology, and architecture projects. In 2008 I founded Parafernalia Gallery, a pioneer exhibition space dedicated to street-art in Euskadi. In 2009, as the global financial crisis unfolded and my first son was born, I started working as a marketing director in the professional training school that my father had founded in 1992.
In 2012 while studying at the Open University of Catalonia I discovered the Transhumanist movement and got deep into cybernetics, complex systems and the cosmological evolution of different life forms. As a result of my new interest in human cognitive enhancement, and with a clear aim to better understand the human brain, in 2016 I enrolled in a Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience master degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In 2017, after almost a decade dedicated to different projects in education, I resigned my stable job to focus in finishing my PhD thesis about Art & Artificial Intelligence at the University of the Basque Country. Now I work from Donostia-San Sebastián as a freelance Multimedia Designer.
